New Body Architecture
The 2019 Jetta is completely redesigned and based off of the VW Group’s MQB vehicle architecture, which has been a proven success in other VW models. Reports say the Jetta is an exciting, responsive, and agile vehicle.

More Space
The Jetta has a 1.3-inch longer wheelbase which gives the driver and passengers more legroom compared to last year’s model. Engine and Transmission
VW has replaced the Jetta’s six-speed transmission with a new eight-speed transmission automatic that is said to provide smoother and quicker transitions from gear-to-gear. Certain trims will also offer a manual transmission option.
The 2019 Jetta will be powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine that produces 148 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. In classic Volkswagen fashion, it provides an excellent blend of performance and fuel economy. There’s enough power to accelerate quickly and it can pass another vehicle on the highway without any issues.
