Want to share access to your Volkswagen’s features and data with a secondary driver? With Volkswagen Car-Net, it’s easy to add another driver to your account. Follow these straightforward steps to get started:
Step 1: Download the Volkswagen Car-Net Mobile App
First, ensure you have the Volkswagen Car-Net mobile app downloaded on your smartphone. You can find the app on the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
Step 2: Login and Access Your Account
Once you’ve downloaded the app, log in using your credentials. Then, tap on the human icon or your profile picture to access your account settings.
Step 3: Navigate to Additional Driver
Scroll down within your account settings until you find the “Additional Driver” option. Tap on it to proceed.
Step 4: Fill Out Driver’s Information
Enter the necessary information for the secondary driver, including their name and email address. Additionally, don’t forget to set their access levels. Access levels allow you to specify which vehicle data the secondary driver can access, such as vehicle health reports. If you want to restrict certain options, leave the corresponding boxes unchecked.
Step 5: Send an Invitation
Once you’ve filled out the driver’s information and specified their access levels, send them an invitation to join your account. The invitation will prompt them to enrol and accept the Volkswagen Car-Net terms and services and the privacy policies.
Pro Tip: They’ll have 30 days to complete their enrollment so ensure the secondary driver completes their enrollment within the 30-day period to finalize their access.
