How to Set Up Your HomeLink

HomeLink is a great feature that enables you to control various systems, such as garage doors and house lights, directly from your vehicle. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll walk you through the process to ensure a smooth and hassle-free setup.

Prepare Your Vehicle

Ensure your vehicle is within range of the receiver and that the ignition is in accessory mode with the engine off and the vehicle parked.

Initiate Programming Mode

Hold the transmitter near the roof console buttons and press and hold the HomeLink button you want to program for about two seconds until the orange indicator light flashes.

Sync with Remote Control

Point your remote control toward the steering wheel and press its operation button. Look for the green indicator light on the HomeLink button to flash, indicating successful programming.

Sync with Rolling Codes (if applicable)

If your receiver uses rolling codes, position your vehicle near the receiver with the ignition on. Press the HomeLink button you’re syncing, then follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer to complete the synchronization within 30 seconds.

Program Additional Transmitters

Repeat the programming process for any additional transmitters you wish to use. Each HomeLink button can be programmed to a different device or function.

Delete Programmed Remotes (if needed)

To remove all programmed remotes, press and hold the HomeLink buttons 1 and 3 simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds. Watch for the green indicator light next to button 2 to flash, confirming the deletion of all programming.
